VIGILANT GUARDIAN: FIREWATCH SECURITY SERVICES
What is a Fire Watch?
The term Fire Watch is used to identify a procedure where designated personnel watch for fires when automatic detection systems are disabled. A fire watch is implemented to ensure the safety of an area or building in the event of any act that may pose an increased risk to people or property, such as hot work or non-functional suppression systems.
Our officers are trained in evacuation techniques, fire extinguishers, first aid, CPR, and AED usage.
When is a Fire Watch required?
A fire watch is required in the event of temporary failure of the alarm system, in the event where activities require the interruption of any fire detection, suppression, or alarm system components.
City and Provincial fire officials have the authority to order property owners to have a fire watch conducted. We provide the experienced and qualified officers needed to run 24-hour fire watches. We also provide and prepare detailed fire watch reports for local agencies to prove that you were acting within the confines of Provincial Fire and Building Codes.
